“Effect of Setting Non-Default Storage Pool Policies” illustrates how setting the AutoGrow policy
to diskgroup allows LUNs from the same disk group that are outside the storage pool to be used,
and setting the SelfSufficient policy to host allows templates that provide the required
capabilities to be imported from outside the storage pool or disk group.
Effect of Setting Non-Default Storage Pool Policies
Note Setting the storage pool policies away from their default values may not be desirable if you
want to maintain close control over how a storage pool is used.
