How This Guide Is Organized
Chapter 7. “Using Storage Checkpoints and Storage Rollback” on page 129 describes
using SFRAC storage checkpoints for backup and recovery of Oracle databases.
Chapter 8. “Using Storage Mappingon page 153 describes using SFRAC to map
datafiles to physical devices.
NOTE: Any form of the mount command (for example, 'mount -o cluster', dbed_chkptmount, or
sfrac_chkptmount) other than cfsmount or cfsumount in a HP Serviceguard Storage Management
Suiteenvironment with CFS should be done with caution. These non-cfs commands could cause
conflicts with subsequent command operations on the file system or Serviceguard packages. Use
of these other forms of 'mount' will not create an appropriate multi-node package which means
that the Serviceguard cluster packages are not aware of the file system changes. Refer to Managing
Serviceguard Twelfth Edition for more information on cfsmount and cfsumount commands as
well as creating disk groups and mount point packages.
