Veritas File System 5.1 SP1 Release Notes
• Problem
Under some circumstances, Storage Checkpoints can exceed the quota limit set by the
fsckptadm setquotalimit command. This issue can arise if all of the following conditions
are met:
◦ The Storage Checkpoint quota has been enabled.
◦ The Storage Checkpoint quota is not exceeded.
◦ A file content modification operation, including removing a file, needs to push some or
all blocks of the file to the Storage Checkpoint.
◦ Number of blocks that need to be pushed to the Storage Checkpoint is enough to exceed
Storage Checkpoint quota hard limit.
Workaround
There is no workaround for this issue.
• Problem
The vxfsconvert command can only convert file systems that are less than 1 TB in size. If
the file system size is greater than 1 TB, the vxfsconvert command fails with the "Out of
Buffer cache" error.
Workaround
For file systems greater than 1 TB in size, you can use the vxupgrade command to convert
the file systems.
• Problem
In rare cases, a race condition can cause a panic in the vx_unlockmap() routine.
Workaround
There is no workaround for this issue. A fix is being worked on and the patch will be released
in future.
