The newfs -R command will reserve swap space greater than is available on the
underlying device.
Product Licensing
Product keys are available on the License Key certificate. The certificate also includes the
number of product licenses purchased. A single key enables product installation on the
number and the type of systems for which you purchased the license. A key may enable the
operation of more products than specified on the certificate, but you are legally limited to the
number of product licenses purchased.
The VERITAS licensing commands are provided in a software package named VRTSvlic.You
must install the VRTSvlic package for the licensing process to work.
VERITAS Licensing Commands
• vxlicinst - Licenses a VERITAS product already installed on a system.
• vxlicrep- View currently installed licenses.
• vxlictest- Retrieves features that are encoded in a license key along with their
descriptions.
NOTE The VRTSvlic package replaces the functionality of the VRTSlic package that
was used in earlier releases. The following table lists equivalency between
licensing commands in VRTSlic and VRTSvlic:
