HP Online JFS 3.5 (Full License) Product

Licensing and Purchase Information

Hewlett-Packard provides the HP OnlineJFS 3.5 (B3929DA) product as part of the

HP-UX 11i v1 Operating Environments December 2003 Application Release.

A standard HP-UX 11i v1 Operating Environment installation sets up the HP-UX

ﬁlesystem with JFS 3.3. To add VxFS 3.5 (OnlineJFS 3.5), purchase the product

separately with HP Product Number B3929DA.

• Purchase and install the full VxFS 3.5 (HP OnlineJFS 3.5) with HP Product Number

B3929DA, the HP-UX Enterprise Operating Environment, or the HP-UX

Mission-Critical Operating Environment. See the Chapter , “Installing HP

OnlineJFS 3.5 (Full License Software),” on page 23 for installation instructions.

• Install VxFS 3.5 onto the full VxFS 3.3 or the Enterprise or Mission-Critical

Operating Environment.

If full VxFS 3.5 is installed onto a system with full VxFS 3.3 already installed, the

system is upgraded to full VxFS 3.5.

End of Product

Support

This release is the last to support the VxFS Version 2 and Version 3 disk layouts. You can

still mount these older disk layout versions, but you cannot create them using the

VERITAS mkfs command.
