Installing HP OnlineJFS 3.5 (Full License Software)

To install the HP OnlineJFS 3.5 product, purchase the product (B3929DA) and obtain a

code word to unlock the software from the application media.

NOTE This procedure applies to the installation of Online JFS 3.5 on HP-UX Version 2 systems

only.

Install HP OnlineJFS 3.5 using swinstall as follows:

Step 1. Mount the HP-UX Applications CD:

mount -F cdfs cdrom-device /cdrom

Step 2. Install the HPOnlineJFS product using the following command:

swinstall -s /cdrom OnlineJFS

Step 3. Check the OnlineJFS features were enabled:

/sbin/fs/vxfs/vxenablef

vxenablef displays the licensed features enabled in the kernel. If OnlineJFS features are

enabled, it will print the following:

System is licensed for features
