System Changes Made When Installing VxFS 3.5
The tables below show which files are modified and the functions of particular files that are added to the
system.
File Modified Modifications Implemented
/stand/system Deactivates JFS and OnLineJFS, and configures VxFS,
QuickLog, and Quick I/O
/etc/PATH Inserts /sbin/fs/vxfs3.5/bin before the /sbin directory
in the PATH environment variable to ensure that the VxFS
3.5 vxtunefs command executes instead of
JFS/OnLineJFS 3.3 vxtunefs that resides in /sbin
/etc/MANPATH Inserts /usr/share/man/fs/vxfs3.5 before the
/usr/share/sbin directory in the MANPATH environment
variable to ensure that the VxFS 3.5 manual pages display
instead of JFS/OnLineJFS 3.3 manual pages that reside in
/usr/share/man
