Configuring the Event Log

1. Select the “control panel” node in the tree view. The details view appears, listing all the

configuration applications.

2. Launch the “Event Log Settings” configuration application by double clicking on it.

Note Whenever you change the event log policy, the old files are deleted and a new event log file

is created. So it is advisable to take a backup or save the old log file, before changing the

policy.

Setting the Maximum Log Size

You can set the maximum log size from 10 KB to 2 GB. The default log size is 500 KB.

Using a Single Log File

Select “Overwrite the log file” to define a single log file. When the log file reaches its maximum

size, the file is then overwritten, starting at the oldest alert.
