1 System Requirements for Installing
Veritas 5.0 Products
This chapter describes the system and patch requirements for installing VxFS 5.0 and VxVM
5.0 on HP-UX 11i version 2. The VxVM 5.0 and VxFS 5.0 products are supported on the
September 2006 release of HP-UX 11i v2 or later.
Ignite-UX support for Veritas 5.0 Products
Ignite-UX C.6.9 is available on HP-UX 11i Version 2 September 2006 application media.
However, it does not currently support cold installation of VxVM5.0 and VxFS 5.0. Ignite-UX
version C.6.9.x or later supports both system recovery and system cloning of systems that
already contain VxVM/VxFS 5.0. You can obtain this product from the September 2006
HP-UX Operating Environment or the HP-UX Application Media. You can also download
Ignite-UX C.6.9 from http://www.software.hp.com.

• HP-UX 11i Version 2 September 2006.
• VxVM 5.0 requires VxFS 5.0 to work.
