System Requirements for Installing Veritas 5.0 Products
Chapter 112
This patch contains fixes that are required for correct operation of the vxupgrade and
vxfsconvert commands in VxFS 5.0. However, this patch can be installed only after
installation of VxFS5.0.
• PHCO_35129
This patch is required for correct operation of DMP failover functionality.
• PHKL_35130
This patch is required for correct operation of DMP failover functionality, and also to
prevent possible data corruption when using vxdisksetup –iB.
NOTE You can download the patches PHCO_34208, PHCO_35304, and
PHCO_35130 from http://itrc.hp.com.
Required Packages for Veritas Enterprise Administrator
(VEA)
To use VEA with VxVM 5.0, the following softwares products are required:
• Veritas Enterprise Administrator Service (VRTSob)
• Veritas Volume Manager Service Provider (VRTSvmpro)
• Veritas File System Service Provider (VRTSfspro)
• Veritas Enterprise Administrator (VRTSobgui)
The minimum memory requirement for the VEA client is 128 MB. The above softwares are
installed as part of VxVM.
