System Requirements for Installing Veritas 5.0 Products

• EnableVxFS version B.11.23.07
This bundle contains the following enhancement products:
— FSLibEnh
Enhancements to the LIBC libraries to understand VxFS disk layout Versions 6 and 7.
— DiskQuota-Enh
Enhancements to the various quota related commands to support large uids.
— FSCmdsEnh
Enhancements to the mount command to support VxFS 5.0.
NOTE The FEATURE11i bundle and the EnableVxFS bundle are available from the
software download site http://h20293.www2.hp.com. You must search for
"Veritas 5.0" on this site and follow the instructions to download the
patches.
• PHCO_33308
The PHCO_33308 patch is required for Logical Volume Manager (LVM) to work with Disk
Layout Version 6 and Disk Layout Version 7.
IMPORTANT If patch PHCO_33308 is not installed on your system and you try to create a
physical volume for use in an LVM volume group or try to reduce the size of
an existing LVM volume, there will be potential data loss.
• PHCO_33238
The patch PHCO_33238 is required for using the swapon command to enable VxFS 5.0 file
system for paging.
• PHCO_34208
The PHCO_34208 patch, is required for System Administration Manager (SAM) to support
VxFS 4.1 and VxFS 5.0 file systems.
IMPORTANT You must install this patch for SAM to recognize the Veritas 5.0 products.
