Verifying Base-VXFS 4.1 Installation
Verify the Base-VXFS 4.1 installation on your system:
# swverify Base-VXFS

Installing HP OnlineJFS (B3929EA) 4.1
The HP OnlineJFS (B3929EA) license enables additional VxFS functionality not available with
Base-VXFS 4.1.
You can install HP OnlineJFS (B3929EA) 4.1 either in the non-interactive or in the interactive
mode.
Installing HP OnlineJFS (B3929EA) 4.1 in Non-Interactive Mode
Invoke the swinstall command in non-interactive mode:
# swinstall -s <depot-path> B3929EA
See swinstall (1M), for more information on the supported options.
Installing HP OnlineJFS (B3929EA) 4.1 in the Interactive Mode
You can install HP OnlineJFS (B3929EA) 4.1 in the interactive mode as follows:
1. Invoke the swinstall command in interactive mode:
# swinstall -s <depot-path>
2. Mark the B3929EA bundle on the SD Install Window.
3. Select Actions, and click Install. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Verifying HP OnlineJFS (B3929EA) 4.1 Installation
Verify the installation of OnlineJFS (B3929EA) on your system:
# swverify B3929EA

Installing VxVM 4.1
VxVM 4.1 consists of the bundles Base-VXVM 4.1 and Full VxVM (B9116BA). The following
sections discuss the installation of these bundles using the HP-UX SD commands.
Installing Base-VXVM 4.1
You can install Base-VXVM 4.1 either in the non-interactive mode, or in the interactive mode.
Installing Base-VXVM 4.1 in Non-Interactive Mode
Invoke swinstall command in non-interactive mode:
# swinstall -x autoreboot=true -s <depot-path> Base-VXVM

Installing Base-VXVM 4.1 in the Interactive Mode
You can install Base-VXVM 4.1 in interactive mode as follows:
1. Invoke the swinstall command in interactive mode:
# swinstall -x autoreboot=true -s <depot-path>
