SCTP Release Notes HP-UX 11i v2, HP-UX 11i v3 (5900-1238, October 2010)

NOTE: The HP-UX MD5 Secure Checksum software is not installed by default
on the system. It is available at:
http://h20293.www2.hp.com/
You can search for “md5checksum” to access the HP-UX MD5 Secure Checksum
software.
12. To install the SCTP depot, enter the following command at the HP-UX prompt:
# swinstall -s /tmp/HPUX-SCTP
The swinstall window is displayed.
13. Press the space bar to select the product that you wish to install.
14. Select Install in the Action menu. The Install Analysis window is displayed.
15. Select OK when the Status field displays a Ready message. The Install window is
displayed.
The SCTP software installation starts.
16. Select Done when the Status field displays a Completed message.
17. Select File->Exit to exit from the swinstall window.
The sctpd daemon is preconfigured and starts after installation.
NOTE: Once the SCTP installation is complete, the system automatically reboots.
Verifying the SCTP Product Installation
To verify whether the SCTP depot is installed successfully on your system, enter the
following command at the HP-UX prompt:
# swlist HPUX–SCTP
If SCTP is installed properly on an HP-UX 11i v2 system, the following output is
displayed:
# Initializing...
# Contacting target "host0"... # #
Target: host0:/
#
# HPUX-SCTP B.11.23 HP-UX SCTP 01.01
HPUX-SCTP.SCTP B.11.23.01.01 SCTP Product for HP-UX 11iv2
If SCTP is installed properly on an HP-UX 11i v3 system, the following output is
displayed:
# Initializing...
# Contacting target "host1"...
#
# Target: host1:/
