Migrating X.25 over ACC to X.25 over PSI

The X.25 PSI adapters cost less compared to the ACC adapters and its corresponding

hardware. Moreover, extensive use of X.25 PSI adapters is expected to lower the cost.

• Lower operational cost

The administration, management, and maintenance costs involved in implementing X.25/PSI

are significantly lower than the cost involved in implementing X.25/ACC. This is because of

the elimination of additional hardware required, in addition to the network adapter in the

former.

• Seamless application migration

Migration of legacy X.25 applications implemented over ACC adapters to PSI adapters

requires minimal or no application changes.

Limitations

• X.25/PSI does not support ZCOM APIs.

• X.25/PSI does not support dual interface cabling configurations for HA.
