Migrating X.25 over ACC to X.25 over PSI

Software migration

The X.25/PSI software product, HP X.25/9000 (J2793B), is available from the HP-UX application

releases. This software product is available on all supported HP-UX 11i versions.

For the software migration on HP-UX version11i v1, the X.25/ACC software product (Z7476AA,

Z7478AA, Z7480AA, Z7486AA, and J2793B) is replaced by only HP X.25/9000 (J2793B)

software product.

On HP-UX versions 11i v2 and 11i v3, the X.25/ACC software product (Z7344A, J2793B) is

replaced by only HP X.25/9000 (J2793B) software product, as a part of software migration.

On an HP-UX system installed with X.25/ACC software product, the migration from X.25/ACC to

X.25/PSI software product can also be done by only uninstalling the ACC base product from the

X.25/ACC software bundle.

As a part of uninstalling only the ACC base product from the X.25/ACC software bundle, complete

the following steps:

• For HP-UX version11i v1, remove the software bundles Z7476AA, Z7478AA, Z7480AA,

and Z7486AA using the following command:

swremove –x autoreboot=true Z7476AA Z7478AA Z7480AA Z7486AA

• For HP-UX versions 11i v2 and 11i v3, remove the software bundle Z7344A using the

following command:

swremove –x autoreboot=true Z7344A

Configuration Migration

To migrate from X.25/ACC to X.25/PSI configuration, complete the following steps:

Step 1: Stop the ACC application (if running) and the ACC link, before migrating to X.25/PSI.

Step 2: Migrating to X.25/PSI creates a new X.25 configuration file. So, if you want to refer to

X.25 parameters used previously, save the X.25 configuration file used for initializing the

X.25/ACC.

Step 3: Remove the link /dev/x25 à /dev/nli2zcom, if it exists using the following command:

rm –f /dev/x25

Step 4: Execute the following script, to create the link /dev/x25 à /dev/x25plp:
