HP OTS/9000 Conﬁguration Files

Multiple Conﬁguration Sets

The nodal management tools can work with conﬁguration ﬁles sets

residing in directories other than the default directory /etc/opt/ots/conf.

This is limited to the creation and management of ﬁles sets on the local

node only.

There is no limit to the number of sets that can exist, but each ﬁle set

must contain a complete set of conﬁguration ﬁles. Each conﬁguration ﬁle

set is identiﬁed by the directory where the conﬁguration ﬁles exist. Only

one set can be active at any time. The OSI_CONFIG environment

variable tells the OTS commands which directory to ﬁnd the active

conﬁguration ﬁles. If OSI_CONFIG is not set, the active conﬁguration

ﬁles are assumed to be in the default directory.

NOTE The active ﬁle set will reﬂect the conﬁguration of the running

stack/services ONLY if the OSI_CONFIG environment variable has not

been set or reset since the stack/ services were started.
