Conﬁguring and Verifying HP OTS/9000

To Start HP OTS/9000

1. Press “Exit Task” f8 until you are back on the OTS Menu.

2. Highlight “Start OTS” and press “Select Item” or [return]. This takes

a few moments. You will see messages ﬂashing on your screen as OTS

veriﬁes that the links are running and then starts itself.

3. Press [return] to continue.

NOTE You only need to use the start option after initial conﬁguration. OTS is

automatically started by /sbin/rcz.d/s380ots when booting up the

system after this ﬁrst start. To avoid OTS from starting automatically

upon bootup, edit the /etc/rc.config.d/ots ﬁle. Modify the

OTSSTART statement to read “OTSSTART = off”. The next time the

system is rebooted, OTS will not start automatically.

4. Look at the OTS Conﬁguration ﬂowchart to determine the next task

you should perform.
