HP IB4X-00 Driver for InfiniBand Release Notes, September 2009
This document provides information about the B.11.31.0909 (AR0909) and the subsequent
B.11.31.0909.1 (WR0909) releases of the HP IB4X-00 driver for InfiniBand.
IB4X-00 Driver for InfiniBand Overview
Starting with the B.11.31.0909 release and the WR0906 release, the HP IB4X-00 Driver for
InfiniBand supports Reliable Datagram Sockets (RDS) Protocol for the Oracle RAC environment.

The following feature is new with the B.11.31.0909 version of the IB4X-00 Driver for InfiniBand:

Known Problems Fixed in This Version

The DART81 BA929AA 11iv3 VSE OE software with InfiniBand adapter 448397-B21 failed to
boot at the ESWL_IGNITEUX stage, due to timeout at iux_monitor_reboot. The driver code
has been modified to resolve this issue.

The new ituil command option, x, has been provided to display the link speed of an InfiniBand
interface.

In the cluster environment, where HP-UX and Linux nodes are connected to the switch,
whenever the HP-UX node reboots, there is an LID change at the HP-UX node, which is
non-compliant with InfiniBand subnet manager protocol.

The PM subsystem in the InfiniBand driver is not responding to ClassPortInfo requests.
For this reason, some of the Linux/OFED tools generate an error when there is an HP-UX host
in the cluster. The tools affected are:
