String is an ASCII text string. Enclose multi-word strings within double-quotes (“ “). The no
snmp-server contact command resets the current contact information to an empty string.
contact-string
IP address or DNS name of the SNMP server.dest
Community string to use to authenticate the system chassis to the SNMP server. Enclose
multi-word strings within double-quotes. The no snmp-server host command resets the SNMP
trap receiver information to an empty string.
community-string
The SNMP community-string that will be used to authenticate the chassis to the SNMP server.
Enclose multi-word community strings within double-quotes. the no snmp-server host
command resets the current host information to an empty string.
location-string
Command Modes: Global-configuration mode.
Privilege Level: Unrestricted read-write user.
Usage Guidelines: The snmp-server contact string is displayed by viewing system version or
SNMP information.
The snmp-server host string is displayed by viewing using the show snmp command.
The snmp trap receiver must be configured to recognize the specified location community string.
Examples:
HP-IB0(config)# snmp-server contact "support@hp.com"
HP-IB(config)# snmp-server host 10.3.106.99 secret
HP-IB(config)# snmp-server host 10.3.106.99 secret

telnet
Synopsis: The telnet command allows you to enable or disable access to telnet services.
Syntax: telnet enable
telnet disable

Defaults: Telnet access is enabled by default.
