HP Fabric Clustering System HP-UX Administrator's Guide, March 2008
4. Enter the username command with the name of the user, the community-string keyword,
and the new community string to assign this user.
HP-IB(config)# username ib-admin community-string ib-commStr
In the example above, ib-admin is the name of the user, community-string is a
mandatory keyword. ib-commStr is the SNMP community string the user will have to use
to execute other SNMP functions.
Using DNS Services
About DNS Services
The chassis must be told where to locate Domain Name Servers (DNS) so that it can contact these
servers. The chassis uses these servers to resolve hostnames to IP addresses.
Setting Administrative Roles
About Roles and Privileges
Roles allow granular levels of privileges. The system combines multiple roles with read and
read-write access for flexible control. These roles are enforced with the CLI.
The unrestricted administrator (super) is responsible for assigning these roles. Network
administrators are given read-only and read-write access to each of the three network types.
