Directory Services Data Structures

Using Directory Services

FTAM uses Directory Services whenever you call ft_connect() or high

level calls to specify your directory or the directory with which you want

to communicate.

Function Parameter Identiﬁes

ft_connect() called_dir_name Directory distinguished name of the responder

process to which you want to connect

ft_fcopy() and

ft_fmove()

source_dirname Directory distinguished name specifying the

source ﬁlestore

destination_dirname Directory distinguished name specifying the

destination ﬁlestore

ft_fcattributes()

ft_frattributes()

ft_fdelete()

dirname Directory distinguished name of the responder

process from which you want to change or read

attributes, or delete a ﬁle
