Read Before Installing HP-UX Virtual Partitions (A.01.01)

• From a running partition, boot the partition that owns the

hardware console port by executing vparboot -p

target_partition, where target_partition is the

partition that owns the hardware console port.

Glance and MeasureWare Network Metrics

Description: When running Glance or MeasureWare on a vPars

computer, Glance and MeasureWare no longer show network

metrics with patch PHNE_24211 installed. This can be fixed by

installing cumulative ARPA transport patch PHNE_25642 or its

successor.

NOTE: If you are running IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6)

without installing a replacement cumulative ARPA transport

patch, Glance and MeasureWare applications will abort.

Installing PHNE_25642 or its successor resolves this problem as

well.

Symptoms: When running Glance with patch PHNE_24211,

Glance network metrics are either not reported or reported

incorrectly. When running MeasureWare with patch

PHNE_24211, all global network and “BYNETIF” metrics are

not logged correctly.
