Installing and Managing HP-UX Virtual Partitions (A.01.01)

Planning Your Virtual Partitions and Installing vPars
Removing vPars
Chapter 4 69
Removing vPars
To remove the vPars product, execute the swremove command from the
target partition. For example, to remove the vPars product from the
partition winona3:
winona3# /usr/sbin/swremove VirtualPartitions
NOTE If you have modified the AUTO file in the LIF area of the boot disk of the
target partition to include the monitor (/stand/vpmon), you should
return the AUTO file contents to its standalone state. For more
information on modifying the AUTO file, see the mkboot (1M) manpage.
CAUTION Remove the vPars product only at the product level
(VirtualPartitions). Do NOT remove the vPars product at the bundle
level (T1335AC or VPARSBASE). Recommended kernel patches are
included in the vPars bundle; if the bundle is removed, these kernel
patches will also be removed. For more information on bundles and
patches, see the "Patch Management Guide for HP-UX 11.x" at
http://docs.hp.com.
