5.4.1 Support for HP-UX 11i v2 in guests
HP-UX 11i v2 is supported as a guest OS only for HP Integrity VMs; they are not supported as a
guest OS with HP-UX vPars V6.x.

NOTE: HP Integrity VM guests running HP-UX 11i v2 have the following restrictions, on VSPs
where new features made available after HP Integrity VM V3.5 are available:
• They cannot be transformed to vPars.
• The following I/O adapters are not supported:
◦ NPIV
◦ DIO (Direct IO)
• Dynamic I/O is not supported.
• PCI OLR capability is not supported on VSPs with 11i v2 guests.
• Migration between VSPs using Intel® Itanium® 9300 and 9500 Series processors is not
supported.
• HP Caliper cannot be run within HP-UX 11i v2 guests running on HP Integrity i4 VSPs (using
Intel® Itanium® Processor 9500 Series).
