4. Create virtual machine guest hpvmids1

hpvmcreate — Create a new Integrity Virtual Machines virtual machine

-P vm-name Specifies the name of the virtual machine

-e percent Specifies the percentage of CPU resources to which each of the guest‟s virtual

CPUs is entitled.

-a Specifies the mapping of a guest virtual device to a VM Host backing store.

-O os-type[:version]] Specifies the type and version of the operating system running on the

virtual machine.

-c number-vcpus Specifies the number of virtual CPUs this virtual machine sees at boot

time.

-r amount Specifies the amount of memory available to this virtual machine.

The following command was used to create virtual machine hpvmids1:

# hpvmcreate -P hpvmids1 -O hpux -c 2 -e 100 -r16G -a

disk:avio_stor::disk:/dev/rdisk/disk24 -a disk:scsi::disk:/dev/rdisk/disk26 -a

network:avio_lan:vswitch:vlan -a network:avio_lan:vswitch:blan

Similarly create hpvmids2 on Host A and hpvmids3 on Host B.

5. Check the HPVM status

hpvmstatus — Display status information about one or more virtual machines

-V Displays detailed information (verbose mode) about the virtual machines

Following is the output of hpvmstatus on Host A:
