3.2.12 Sizing Guidelines
The sizing guidelines for Integrity Virtual Machines Version 4.0 and later are different from that
of previous releases due to several factors, including the change of VM Host operating system
to HP-UX 11i v3. As a result, the formulas used to calculate virtual machine capacity are outlined
in the white paper Hardware Consolidation with Integrity Virtual Machines. The sizing information
and related calculations are updated in revisions to this white paper dated September 2008 or
later. The latest version of this white paper is available from:

3.2.13 Default Guest Settings for HP-UX and OpenVMS
Table 3-4 lists the default guest settings for HP-UX, OpenVMS and Unknown guests. An Unknown
guest is a virtual machine that has not booted with any operating system. When an Unknown
guest type boots, the appropriate operating system type is applied to the guest configuration.
The following guest OS specific settings are applied if you specify the operating system type
with the -0 option to the hpvmcreate command.
