Welcome
Welcome to the instant Capacity on Demand (iCOD) Release Notes for
version B.05.00. Hewlett-Packard’s iCOD software product provides the
ability to increase or decrease processor capacity instantly on (specified)
HP enterprise servers. These release notes will provide you with the
most recent information on new features and changes for version B.05.00
of the iCOD software product.
Product Overview
There are two products associated with HP’s Utility Pricing Solutions
program:
• iCOD (product number: B9073AA): You initially purchase a specified
number of activated processors and pay a right-to-access fee for a
specified number of inactive processors. When you activate an
inactive processor you are charged an enablement fee.
• pay per use (product number: T1322AA): You pay only for the
average processor usage, based on a fixed/variable model

Most Recent iCOD Version
iCOD version B.05.00 supersedes these previous iCOD versions:
• 1.0 (on HP-UX 11.0)
• 2.x (on HP-UX 11.0 and 11i)
• 3.x (on HP-UX 11i)
• 4.x (on HP-UX 11.0 and 11i)
That is, iCOD version B.05.00 is the most recent version and it runs on
both HP-UX 11.0 and 11i.
