HP Instant Capacity Version 10.x User Guide HP-UX 11i v1, HP-UX 11i v2, and HP-UX 11i v3 (5900-3361, December 2013)

Removing a standby Group Manager
To remove the standby Group Manager assigned to the groups, issue the following command on
the active Group Manager:
icapmanage -r -S <standby_hostname>
The following example shows how to remove a standby Group Manager:
# icapmanage -r -S standyhost.yourdomain.com
standyhost.yourdomain.com has been removed from use as a standby Group Manager.
Maintaining the user active_gm and standby_gm passwords
You may want to change the passwords periodically for the user active_gm and standby_gm,
which were specified at the member addition and a standby Group Manager addition. You can
do it anytime on every Onboard Administrator, because those password changes never impact
the configured GiCAP systems.
