NOTE:
• Group Manager (GM) and OA of the member complexes in GiCAP group must be in the
same network.
• Communication occurs only between GM and OA through SSL certificates, and the partition
details are hidden from Group Manager.
• Communication occurs through Port 5989, 80, and 443 so these ports must be open on any
firewalls between the GM and OA.
• The CIM Server configuration property enableHttpsConnection must be set to a value of “true”
on all GiCAP Group Managers and on all OS instances of all member systems.
Installing and configuring Instant Capacity Firmware and HP Instant
Capacity 10.05.01 (HP-UX OS version)
Downloading HP Integrated Firmware Bundle – HP Integrity Superdome 2 Servers
The HP Instant Capacity Firmware is bundled along with Integrated Firmware Bundle – for HP
Integrity Superdome 2 Servers.
• Onboard Administrator (OA) Firmware version 2.51.102
For more information on how to download, install, and upgrade Firmware version 2.51.102,
see HP Integrity Superdome 2 Server Firmware Bundle product release notes.
• HP-UX 11i v3 1109 (or later) to support the OA firmware on all partitions.
The following HP-UX patches must be installed when running on partitions with 2.51.102
