The current HP Instant Capacity release is specifically targeted towards HP Integrity

Superdome 2. The major enhancements or changes are as follows:
• HP Instant Capacity is now installed with HP Integrated Firmware Bundle for HP Integrity
Superdome 2 Servers (Firmware bundle 2.51.102).
• Dynamic cores support on HP Integrity Superdome 2.
• Dynamic cores feature enables core migration with HP Instant Capacity and Global Workload
Manager (gWLM).
• Codeword enforcement of iCAP or TiCAP or GiCAP feature support on

HP Integrity Superdome 2.
• Self enforcement is no longer supported with HP Instant Capacity bundled with HP Integrated
Firmware Bundle 2.51.102.

Known problems fixed in firmware bundle 3.7.60
• When using icapmanage to add a group member whose hostname contains at least one
upper case character, the command no longer incorrectly prompts for the root password
instead of the Onboard Administrator password.
• When several partitions were booted simultaneously, icapmodify sometimes failed with the
error Partition modifications are not allowed in the current state,
also resulting in core activation operations failing to execute, even though the partition was
ready to accept the command.
Known problems fixed in firmware bundle 3.6.48
• Enhancement feature: Once the kernel memory dump starts in an nPar, the number of the
activated cores in the nPar reduces to one.
• When adding a non-iCAP SD2 member to a GiCAP group, the loan-borrow and activation
operations do not work correctly.
HP Instant Capacity product overview
This section describes the changes in the HP Instant Capacity product on OA Firmware. The basic
features of iCAP are not modified by the introduction of iCAP on OA. However, there are some
