Strictly correct email address must be set with icapmodify -c From the complex firmware bundle 3.6.48, an email address with an FQDN needs to be specified using the format icapmodify -c . If you manage to remove the configured email address and do not want to disable the alert mail functionality, then press the OA reset button.
ERROR: The following low-level WBEM error occurred: Locking or unlocking the target failed. These errors result from contention for system resources from the various partitions in the complex. If you see these messages, retry the Instant Capacity operation. Restarting OA updates old audit snapshot information Active OA continues to have the old hardware resource information even after the memory and processors are replaced or repaired.
though the rest of the group does not consider it to be a standby Manager. If you want to re-establish it as the standby, run the command icapmanage -a -S on the active Group Manager. However, if you have already established another standby Group Manager (for example), or just want to remove the leftover standby information, you need to stop the cimprovider and remove the GiCAP database from the previously failed system.
The active OA must be followed by the standby OA. If you specify the standby OA followed by the active OA with the icapmanage command, you practically do not see any error messages. Executing the icapmanage -s command, however, indicates that the member was not added. icapmodify produces "Parse error" for a GiCAP group member icapmodify can indicate the following error message: Parse error at line 1: unknown encoding. The workaround for this issue is to re-add the member to the group.
4. 5. Re-add the member. Execute icapmanage -s on the GM to check for member reachability. NOTE: If you have any OA fail-back policy, you do not need to follow the above procedure.
