Transferring usage rights between members of a GiCAP group
The transfer of usage rights between members of a group is easily accomplished by:
1. Determining the amount of usage to move and the source and destination quantity of cores that
must be activated
2. Deactivating the cores on the one system using any capacity altering commands
(
see the current Instant Capacity user’s guide)
3. Activating cores on the target system using the same commands with appropriate options
Sharing HP TiCAP
To share HP TiCAP among servers in a GiCAP group, purchase the appropriate quantity of TiCAP
(available in blocks of 30 core processing days). The use of TiCAP in a GiCAP group is identical to
the use in a single server.
