Updating HP-UX After Installation of these Patches
Updating from HP-UX 11iv3 to a later version of HP-UX 11iv3 prior to the HP-UX Software
Release for March 2009
No unusual USB related messages will be output during the update process. If you did not
deselect USB-00 before starting the update however, when the update is completed, the new
USB functionality delivered by the latest USB-02 patch will be disabled and you will have version
C of USB-00 installed on your system. To re-enable the new USB functionality after the update,
you must remove version C of USB-00 using the swremove command and run
“swconfig –x reconfigure=true –x autoselect_dependencies=false PHKL_39820”.
