3. While the specification of persistent DSF is recommended to enable the use of the agile view by setboot,

there may be cases where a particular lunpath is preferred, for example if one of the lunpaths has a faster I/O

capability. The lunpath hardware path can be used as input to setboot in such cases. Note however that as

above setboot may select another lunpath to the same LUN if the lunpath given is currently offline or disabled.

Example: force the use of the lunpath hardware path provided as input as alternate boot path

# setboot –a 0/5/1/0. 0x50001fe15001eea9.0x4001000000000000

Alternate bootpath : 0/5/1/0. 0x50001fe15001eea9.0x4001000000000000
