Clicking Veritas Enterprise Administrator Link on the System
Management Homepage May Result in VEA Abort and Core Dump
After installing the HP-UX 11i v3 September 2008 OEUR, clicking the Veritas
Enterprise Administrator (VEA) link on the System Management Homepage
may result in VEA aborting and dumping core. This happens due to lower
version of JRE available on the system.
What To Do
Take the following steps:
1. Enter
mv /opt/VRTSob/jre /opt/VRTSob/jre_old
2. Enter
cp -r /opt/java1.5 /opt/VRTSob/jre
3. Try launching VEA by clicking the Veritas Enterprise Administrator
link on the System Management Homepage.
SSL Certificates Generated While Cold-Installing HP WBEM
Services A.02.07.02 May Not Be Accepted by WBEM Service
Clients
While cold-installing HP WBEM Services, the SSL certificates are generated
with short host names. These certificates cannot be used by the WBEM
Service clients. The following warning message is logged in the
swagent.log file:
