Problem When Igniting a System to Use VxVM
When igniting a system to use VxVM, the initialization of
the Ignite environment may take up to 1 or 2 hours. This
is due to a defect in VxVM start up code, and is limited to
systems with very large SAN configurations (for example,
a SAN configuration that contains thousands of LUNs).
This issue will be fixed in a future version of Ignite UX.
What To Do
When Igniting systems in large SANs, HP recommends
that you unplug the system from the SAN for the duration
of the Ignite session. Once the ignited system is up and
running, you may re-connect the SAN.
