HKSCS-2008 enhancement
The HongKong government has announced 68 new additional characters with HKSCS-2008 from
the previous standards of HKSCS-2004. See http://www.ogcio.gov.hk/en/business/

Summary of change
HKSCS-2008 is Hong Kong Supplementary Character Set-2008. The HKSCS-2008 contains 5,009
characters that are specific to the Hong Kong environment. It will facilitate electronic communication
and data exchange conducted in Chinese between the public and the Government. HPUX supports
HKSCS-2004 standards without this enhancement. 68 additional new code points have been
added by the local government with HKSCS-2008. iconv(1M) and iconv(3C) API have been
enhanced to support 68 additional new code points of HKSCS-2008. This feature is enabled in
PHCO_43254, delivered in Feature 11i bundle.
