4-3-1-4 Structure of the OVO Agent Template Groups
After the OVO Management-Server installation script is run, all OVO agent templates related to the
MPS release are grouped hierarchically. The first level is a group of OVO templates for the OVO
agents, which is further categorized depending on the target platform.
Currently three kinds of platforms of agents are supported by MPS:
• AIX 5
• HPUX 11.xx
• Solaris
Figure 4-12 Template Groups
The OVO Management Server is the central location from where the OVO templates, scripts,
commands, monitors, and the OVO agent software can be distributed to the managed nodes. The
OVO Management Server also has a local OVO agent installed, to which OVO templates are
distributed.
