4-2-2-1 Adding an OSEM monitored device

1. Click the New link shown in above screenshot.

The following page is displayed.

For MPS, the following information is critical, so the information entered must be accurate.

2. Please ensure the following settings are entered correctly:

○ Entitlement Type

○ Entitlement ID

○ Entitlement Serial Number

○ Entitlement Product Number

○ System Name or IP

IMPORTANT: Settings must match HP contract data. If unsure contact your account team or RSP

support.

3. After filing, click Apply changes to save.

After adding a monitored device in either HP SIM or OSEM, an xml file called

<ProductNumber>-<SerialNumber>.<systemName>.xml

will be generated in

<OSEM_Install_Dir>\ms, where <ProductNumber> is the product number;

<SerialNumber> is the serial number and <systemName> is the system name.

NOTE: OSEM needs to be restarted if the device is added by HP-SIM
