setboot Usage Description

setboot –p primary_path

setboot –h ha-alternate_path

setboot –a alternate_path

This option is used to set the Primary, HA-Alternate and

Alternate Paths. It also triggers a subscription to EVM health

events for these paths.

Here, primary_path, ha-alternate_path and alternate_path

can be –

• A persistent DSF

• A lunpath Hardware Path

• A Legacy Hardware Path

setboot –r

This option is used to re-subscribe to boot path health events:

• It is run automatically to initialize subscriptions for

health events after each reboot.

• It must be run by the system administrator to re-

initialize subscriptions for health events if the Event

Manager (EVM) daemon has been temporarily

stopped and setboot was used to modify boot paths

while the EVM daemon was not active.
