Performing a CRA
Enter the following command to perform a CRA on the slot you want to perform an OL* operation
on:
#olrad -C slot_id
This command checks for critical resources on all affected hardware paths associated with the
specified slot. It analyzes file systems, volumes, processes, networking, swap, and dump; and
generates a report of affected resources.
The CRA severity levels and their meanings are as follows:
CRA_SUCCESS No affected resources are in use.
CRA_WARNINGS Resources are in use on affected devices but none are critical.
CRA_DATA_CRITICAL Probable data loss if you perform the operation, consider before
proceeding.
CRA_SYS_CRITICAL Operation is likely to bring down the system.
CRA_ERROR An internal CRA error was encountered.
Example 4-2 CRA Reporting Success
# olrad -C 0-0-0-2
Critical Resource Analysis(CRA) in progress...
[ NOTE: The CRA may take a few minutes to complete on large
configurations. It is recommended not to disrupt this operation. ]
CRA REPORT SUMMARY: CRA returned SUCCESS.
Detailed CRA report is available in /var/adm/cra.log file.
