System Hangs When SerialSCSI-00 and SASProvider
Depots are Installed From AR Media or Web Download
When the SerialSCSI-00 and SASProvider depots are
installed together from the Application Release media or
web download, on each subsequent boot the system hangs
at:
Configuring all unconfigured software
filesets
This condition does not occur during a full installation of
HP-UX from the Operating Environment media.
What To Do
When the system hangs, press Ctrl + \ to stop the
configuration script and continue the boot process. When
the system has booted, re-install SASProvider. On
subsequent boots, the system will no longer hang.
To prevent this condition, install SerialSCSI-00 and
SASProvider separately. A reboot may be required after
you install SerialSCSI-00; no reboot is required after
installing SASProvider.
