HP-UX 11i v3 March 2011 Release Notes (Edition 3)

Summary of Change
The Quality Pack bundles is released every 6 months for HP-UX 11i v3 (B.11.31) with a sizable
increase in the number of defect fix patches included. A defect-repair patch is included in the
Quality Pack only after it has successfully completed comprehensive internal testing as well as
achieved 300 customer downloads.
Impact
The Quality Pack patch bundles are used by customers for the proactive update and maintenance
of their HP-UX systems. Customers should review the “readme” file that comes with each release
of the Quality Pack prior to installation.
Compatibility
There are no known compatibility issues.
Performance
The Quality Pack has the potential to improve system performance, depending on the new and
updated patches contained in each release.

Summary of Change
In this release, SD-UX is enabled for Secure Resource Partitions (SRP) v3 support, and defects are
fixed.
