Messages you can ignore
Table 14 describes harmless messages currently known to appear while installing and/or updating
to HP-UX 11i v3. You can safely ignore these messages.

system, and you update to the September 2011 Quality Pack patch bundle
(QPKAPPS), the swlist output might show messages about “unbundled” patches.

The following VRTS patches were removed from the September 2011 QPKAPPS
bundle due to the replacement of VxVM 5.0 with VxVM 5.0.1 in the September
2011 OEUR:
• PHCO_37694: VRTSobgui Command Patch
• PHCO_38654: VRTS 4.1 RP3 Commands Patch 03
• PHCO_40305: VRTS 5.0 GARP5 VRTSvmpro Command Patch
• PHCO_40639: VRTS 5.0 GARP7 VRTSvxvm Command Patch
• PHKL_40536: VRTS 4.1 GARP4 VRTSvxvm kernel Patch
• PHKL_40575: VRTS 5.0 GARP6 VRTSvxvm Kernel Patch
If you had the above patches on your system, they will continue to exist when you
update to the September 2011 QPKAPPS bundle. However, swlist will list these
patches as “unbundled.” In addition, swlist will continue to show the previously
installed QPKAPPS bundle.
What to do
You can safely ignore the messages regarding the unbundled patches. These
patches (or their supersedes) will continue to be installed on your system.
The Instant Capacity (iCAP) feature is not yet operational on Superdome 2 systems.
You may see reports regarding Instant Capacity rc startup script failures during
HP-UX boot.

You can safely ignore those FAILURE messages.
The September 2011 release of NetworkConf is dependent on a patch. The
filesets NETMG2-RUN and LANCRA-SHLIB of the patch PHNE_41971 or later are

corequisites for the filesets of NetworkConf version B.11.31.12 or later. If a later

What to do
You can safely ignore the message and proceed with the installation.

What to do
You can safely ignore this unbundle message. Starting with March 2010, Java
1.4 (SDK, JRE, and JPI) is no longer delivered as part of the OEs and will no longer
be updated on the OE media. However, the current Java 1.4 version on your
system will remain whether you update to HP-UX 11i v3 March 2010 (or later)
from HP-UX 11i v2 or an earlier version of HP-UX 11i v3.
