3-6 Managing CMS monitored devices in OVO

NOTE: The tasks described in this section are only required when the monitored devices are not

already set up in OVO. If all the monitored devices have OVO agents deployed or are set up in

the node bank already it is not necessary to read this section.

NOTE: The descriptions and screenshots in this section apply to the HP-UX version of OVO. The

Windows version of OVO might differ.

To monitor a device, an OVO node should be added.

3-6-1 Adding a Monitored Device

1. Add the new node by clicking Actions>Node>Add Node.

2. The Add Node window shows. Input the FQDN or IP into hostname, and choose the

appropriate type if the system has not identified the system type correctly. The label will be

automatically set, but you can change it manually.
