Using HP-UX VLANs (September 2004)

What are HP-UX VLANs?
Hardware and Software Requirements
Chapter 122
NOTE For HP-UX 11i v1, you need to upgrade to HP-UX 11i v2 September 2004
OE. This installs all the required software bits, for example, Transport,
100Base-T, LAN-core, and so on. However, for HP-UX 11i v2, you can
either upgrade to the HP-UX 11i v2 September 2004 OE (which installs
all the software bits), or you can selectively install the patches listed in
Table 1-1.
100Base-T is delivered as part of base HP-UX. Therefore, VLAN is
supported on 100Base-T, by default. To have VLAN support on systems
that have Gigabit ethernet cards, install GigEther-00, GigEther-01, or
IEther-00 drivers, depending on the Network Interface Cards (NIC)
present on the system.
