Installing TOUR 2.0

TOUR 2.0 and IPSec

TOUR 2.0 is only compatible with, and is a software requirement for, (when available) IPSec

(J4256AA) version A.02.00 or greater. It is not compatible with earlier versions of IPSec. If

you try to install TOUR 2.0 on a system that has an earlier version of IPSec (J4256AA) you

will see the following error message:

ERROR: An older IPSec product (J2456AA) is already installed. This version

of Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) can only be installed if either

1) the older IPSec has been removed, or 2) when available, IPSec (J4256AA)

version A.02.00 or greater is installed at the same time. IMPORTANT: DO NOT

REMOVE IPSec unless a) you no longer want IPSec and need this version of TOUR

or b) you are sure you can obtain IPSec (J4256AA) version A.02.00 or greater.

IPv6 on HP-UX 11i v2 Additional Information

IPv6 is available (included by default) as part of the base transport product of the HP-UX 11i

v2 operating system. By installing TOUR 2.0 on HP-UX 11i v2, you can realize the IPv6

enhancements (available only as part of TOUR 2.0) listed in the section “What Is in This

Version” on page 5. All other IPv6 functionality is provided directly from the HP-UX 11i v2

software.

All IPv6-enhanced Internet Services are included by default as part of the HP-UX 11i v2

operating system.
