Appendix A Recommended Tunable Values

This section contains a list of tunable parameter settings that have been shown to provide improved

performance and behavior on most HP-UX 11i v2 NFS systems. All of the tunables in Table A.1 have

been obsolesced in HP-UX 11i v3. In order to configure an 11i v2 NFS system to behave similar to

an 11i v3 system, set the kctune parameters listed in Table A.1 to their respective recommended

value.

To assist in setting the tunables listed in Table A.1 to their recommended values, a new NFS kernel

tunables patch PHNE_38254 is available. This patch requires a reboot for installation, and following

the reboot each tunable listed in Table A.1 will be set to its recommended value.
