HyperFabric Release Notes HP-UX 11i v1 and HP-UX 11i v2 April 2010

WORKAROUND: Use Advanced Configuration rather than the Guided Installation when
installing or re-installing HP-UX 11i v1 on a system that has HyperFabric cards installed on
it.
• When the HyperFabric software is upgraded from version B.11.00.10 (or earlier), or from
version B.11.11.00, to the higher versions of HyperFabric software, if there are PCI 1X cards
(A4919A) installed on the systems being upgraded, doing a clic_start will fail. The
following error messages will be displayed for the adapter:
— #/opt/clic/bin/clic_start
— Searching for HyperFabric adapters...
— Starting the HyperFabric management daemon
— ERROR: clic2 interface: ifconfig: plumb error: Unknown error
— Ifconfig failed on the HyperFabric adapters
This is because a new field has been added to the HyperFabric configuration file, /etc/
rc.config.d/clic_global_conf, to enable HMP.
• Some of the directory structure of HyperFabric software remains on the system even after
removing the HyperFabric software (for example, /opt/clic). This will be fixed in future
releases.
