Adapter Overview

A6826A PCI-X Dual Port 2 Gb Fibre Channel Adapter

The HP A6826A is a dual port 2 Gb-capable adapter that operates in PCI 33 MHz/66 MHz and PCI-X 66

MHz/133 MHz bus speeds with a 64-bit bus width.

Both ports support Auto-Speed Negotiation and are independently capable of a 1 Gb/2 Gb data transfer rate.

Auto-Speed Negotiation enables each port on the adapter to automatically negotiate the highest speed

common to the port and the infrastructure connecting the port.

Use the fcmsutil diagnostic tool to display link speed and other Vital Product Data (VPD) information.

The A6826A dual port adapter supports Online Addition and Replacement (OLAR) on OLAR-capable systems

running HP-UX 11i v1 or 11i v2. OLAR refers to the ability of a PCI card to be replaced (removed or added)

without shutting down and rebooting the system.

The A6826A dual port adapter supports arbitrated loop and fabric topologies and is compatible with 1 Gb, 2

Gb and 4 Gb devices.
